Hello Beautiful People,
Our second book is the timeless classic – The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg.
If you haven’t read this beautiful tale, well, now’s the time to start!
Late one Christmas Eve, after the town has gone to sleep, a young boy boards the mysterious train that waits for him outside his house. This train is the magical Polar Express, and it is bound for the North Pole.
Yes, the North Pole.
When the train arrives at the North Pole, Santa offers the narrator any gift he desires.
What does he ask SANTA for?
One bell from the harness of the reindeer.
The gift is granted.
On the way home from the North Pole, the boy loses the bell. Heartbroken, he finally falls asleep in his own bed.
On Christmas morning, the boy opens his gifts with his family, and, crazy enough, he finds the bell under the tree. The mother of the boy admires the bell, but notes that it is broken, for she cannot hear the soft jingle.
The boy picks up the bell, and he can still hear the jingling, for only believers can hear the sound of the bell.
