Hello Readers,
Welcome to the Day Four of The 12 Days of Books!
Christmas is a time for celebration and joy. It is a time for reflection. It is a time to be thankful for the many blessings in your life. It is a time to laugh with friends. It is a time to gather with family. In The Christmas Letters by Bret Nicholaus, a family spanning four generations meets for dinner on Christmas Eve to fellowship.
On this particular Christmas Eve, Grandpa , knowing that the time he has left with his family is short, shares a special message with them. He distributes a series of letters to the members of his family which, put together, spell “C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S.” He tells his family that each person there is an important part of Christmas for him. He attributes a special meaning to each other letters, sharing wisdom and his heart as he does.
The Christmas Letters is a short, simple book. It is a book you should not borrow from the library. You should buy a copy. Read it every year. Share it with your friends. Display it on your coffee table. Cherish Grandpa’s words.
