FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, presents a concert reading of City of Light, a new musical written by Jan Roper, Gabrielle Wagner, and Julie Weiner. Directed by Autumn Reeser (“The Arrangement,” “Entourage,” “The O.C.”), City of Light was selected by Stephen Schwartz for the ASCAP Musical Theater Workshop, and was presented as part of the SheNYC Theater Festival. Set in Paris, City of Light is a modern, romantic musical comedy – with an unexpected twist — that will make you want to book the next flight to France!
The evening features a cast including Krystina Alabado (American Psycho, American Idiot, The Mad Ones, This Ain’t No Disco, Spring Awakening), Jane Blass (Annie, Hairspray, 9-5), Jack Cotterell (Little Women, The Magic Flute, The Last Five Years), Anthony Norman (The Prom, Newsies), Christopher Rice (The Book of Mormon, The Most Happy Fella, West Side Story), Keri Safran (Typhoid Mary, Broadway Under the Stars, Singin’ in the Rain), and an ensemble comprised of Rakel Arroyo, Zach Schanne, and Katy Wilson.
The concert is directed by Autumn Reeser (“The Arrangement,” “Entourage,” “The O.C.”), and features musical direction by Jan Roper.
