Hello Beautiful People,
I’m not quite sure where to begin.
Through the Glass is a story of a woman, Shannon, who’s away at a conference for work, when two police offers come to her hotel room and deliver the most God awful news.
Shannon’s husband had attacked two women at knifepoint, taken them into the back room of the shop where he works, raped them, and then kidnapped them.
He did this, on their one month wedding anniversary.
The insane part about all of this? It’s a true story.
But…that’s just the tip of the iceberg. It’s a story about heartbreak. About redemption. About forgiveness. It’s a story about bravery. It’s a story about trying to find th elight admist the suffocating blackness that ensures once tragedy and terror strike a home. A community. A family. A marriage.
I am in awe of Shannon, for until I read her story, I didn’t think the human heart had the capacity to forgive that much.
Now, make no mistakes about it, what her husband did was disgusting. Deplorable. Inexcusable. Horrific. There’s no denying that.
