Hello Beautiful People,
Really, Really, the newest play at the MCC Theater, is going into its second weekend of performances. If you haven’t gotten to see the show yet, well, you should.
Some of our Write Teacher(s) readers & team members had the good fortune to see this show last weekend, and they had nothing but good things to say.
Really, Really is written by Paul Downs Colaizzo, directed by David Cromer, and has a dynamo cast comprised of Lauren Culpepper (Grace), David Hull (Cooper), Evan Jonigkeit (Jimmy), Matt Lauria (Davis), Kobi Libii (Johnson), Zosia Mamet (Leigh), and Aleque Reid (Haley). It is an evening of quality, thought provoking theater.
Really, Really centers on the chaotic and hazy filled atompshere of a college campus, specifically the aftermath a typical college blow out extravaganza. But, the customary after party hangover is soon doused with a cold shower of reality as gossip weaves its way into a social circle of friends, causing jealousy and malicously competivie natures to rear their ugly heads.
We’re not going to go into a heavy duty detail of this production, that’s why this is a spotlight piece and not a ‘review’. Details would ruin the fun & surprise & mystique of it all, and who wants to do that?
As always, we hope you will trust our judgement, for we know that you will not regret seeing this show.
So get thee to the theater, before Nemo comes to town.
