Book Blurb, (The Good Daughter):
Kit Brennan has always been the most grounded of her sisters. A Catholic school English teacher for seventeen years and a constant giver, her decisions have been sound—just not very satisfying. Her fortieth birthday is right around the corner, causing Kit to consider some wilder notions, like skipping right past the love and marriage to raising a child all by herself…
A girls’ weekend away is just the reprieve Kit needs from school, Mr. Wrongs, and life-changing decisions. It’s there that she meets a man who’s dangerous; a man who challenges who she thought she was, or rather should be. Kit wants to indulge herself this once, but with one of her students in crisis and the weight of her family’s burdens weighing heavy on her heart, Kit isn’t sure if now is the time to let her own desires take flight…
So, how do you win this extra special Beach Book Bonanza care package?

Live, Love, Learn,
I’m the youngest of 8 children, so I was the one being taken care of most times. As expected, we did argue a lot, and we aren’t all that close now. It would be nice to be closer to everyone.
But there was one time when one sister had to have a somewhat major dental procedure and she was a bit scared, so she asked me to go with her. I took time off from work to lend her moral support.
Ok, I was ten. My older brothers, twins, were 18. They both had all four of their impacted wisdom teeth extracted. Their rooms were in our basement. My mother kept sending me up and downstairs to get this or that; ice, the medicine bottle, drinks, etc. I stated to my momma, “This is like taking care of two babies!!!” LOL But I did my (little) sisterly duty and took care of them however I was able. I love all three of my big brothers who have each taken care of me so wonderfully throughout my 43 years.
My sister (13 months older than me) and I were in charge of watching our younger sister while our parents went to parent-teacher conferences at our elementary school. Our tropical fish began having babies and the other fish in the tank thought is was feeding time, going after the babies. My sisters and I had to create a kind of assembly line: one of us fishing out the baby in a net, another one of us running with it to a make-shift fishbowl, and the other( our little sister) cheering us on for support! Crazy night.
This made all of us laugh hysterically. And who doesn’t need a laugh! Please email the team at info@thewriteteachers.com so we can get you your goods! 😉
