One of films most beloved musicals, FLASHDANCE, will make its New York City debut, with a star-studded Broadway cast, at Feinstein’s/54 Below on Wednesday, February 13th, at 7pm & 9:30pm.
The concert will star Bonnie Milligan(Head Over Heels, Kinky Boots) as Alex, Gilbert Bailey II (Clueless, A Bronx Tale) as Jimmy, Claybourne Elder(Bonnie & Clyde, Torch Song) as Nick, and Brian Charles Rooney as CC (When Pigs Fly, Threepenny Opera).
The roles of Gloria, Kiki, Tess, and Hannah will be announced at a later date.
The ensemble will consist of Anne Bragg, Ethan Carlson, Alex Danielle Frost, Whitney Hayes, Will Hutcheson, Samantha Littleford, Allsun O’Malley, Nate Richardson, Ally Rosenblum, Christian Strange,and Chris Withers.
Robbie Rozelle(Songs From Inside My Locker) will host the concert.
With a book by Tom Hedley and Robert Cary, FLASHDANCE tells the story of Alex, a Pittsburgh welder and exotic dancer, who has dreams of exchanging her safety glasses for ballet slippers.
FLASHDANCE features some of the 1980s greatest songs including “Maniac,” “Manhunt,” “Gloria,” “ I Love Rock & Roll,” and of course, “What a Feeling”.
54 SINGS FLASHDANCE will be directed and produced by Robert W. Schneider. The show will be music directed by Danny Lincoln. The Associate Producer is Benjamin Nissen.
