Did you know that a diva, or divo, can ALSO be described as the following?
divo//diva
adj. pronounced (DEE-VAH, female) or (DEE-VOH, male) 1.to describe a person who exudes great style and personality with confidence and expresses their own style and not letting others influence who they are or want to be. 2. A person whose character makes them stands out from the rest. 3. Noun; a person’s title in a group of friends or in society that is popular or famous and who many people try to copy. 4. A person who tries to achieve what they want and who do not let people get in their way, and doing so with style and class. (Thank you, Urban Dictionary!)
So, in the vain of great style, confidence, class, and expression – I’m pleased to announce The Digital Diva(o) Sessions at The Write Teacher(s)!
Through my work in producing various concerts, especially the Lucky Disaster and DUETS series, I have noticed how many young performers and those who have yet to become a “household name”, have a less than a desirable presence online. Either they don’t HAVE any clips of themselves singing, or the ones that they’ve chosen are not a proper reflection of the talents they possess. Then there are some performers who have SO much online presence that it’s overwhelming, and then there’s the flipside…the one’s who don’t have…anything.
And so I thought, something must be done. And thus the Digital Diva(o) Sessions at The Write Teacher(s) was born.
