New York, NY — Eddie is the story of a hard of hearing high-school student in an inner city, poverty ridden, gang infested school. When he falls in love with Greg, the school bully, both of their lives take an unexpected turn.
Eddie, a new play written by Matthew Ethan Davis, will have its world premiere in New York at the Midtown International Theatre Festival. The full length play will be published by Indie Theater Now in mid-July. Eddie is being directed and produced by Brian Catton of 7 Guild Productions.
The production stars Jacob Banser, Steve Carrieri, Yair Ben-Dor, Jay Rivera and Savanna Rose.
All performances take place at The Dorothy Strelsin Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, 1stFloor, btw 8th and 9th Avenues, New York, NY 10018.

BIOGRAPHIES
Matthew Ethan Davis (Playwright) full length play, Falling Awake was nominated as Most Outstanding New Play by the Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF). The MITF then produced his play Sleep At Your Own Risk. Matthew’s play,Ticket to Eternitywas produced at the New York International Fringe Festival and was co-produced by Ticket To Eternity Productions, which also produced 18 of his one-act plays. Other productions include; A Little Class (Samuel French Semi-Finalist & The Long Wharf Theatre One-Act Festival). New York City productions include; A Midlife’s Dream (Gorilla Rep Company), Falling Awake, Salty Tears, The Moon In the Man, Tiberius & Highway 5.9 at Expanded Arts Theatre. Pieces of a Playwright (A Festival of Davis’s one-act plays at Oasis, NY Theatre Group), The Three Minute Hamlet (The Cell Theatre & The Network One-Act Festival). Matthew’s plays have been published by Indie Theater Now. MFA, BFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, MA, Deaf Education from Hunter College. Two year training with William Esper. Matthew is an Associate Professor of Playwriting at Marymount Manhattan College.
Brian Catton (Director/producer) is the Executive Director of 7 Guild Productions. Directing credits include; You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Return Engagements (co-director), Urinetown, Forbidden Broadway, Hairspray, Little Shop of Horrors, Mauritius,Buried Child, Blackbird (co-director), Burn This, Thom Pain (based on nothing), The Blue Room and The Fantasticks. As an Actor he has appeared in The Pillowman (Tupolski),Mauritius (Dennis), Bedroom Farce (Trevor), The Odd Couple (Manlow/Female Version),The Woman in Black (Mr. Kipps), The Sunshine Boys (Willy) and Father Flynn in Doubt.
