Starring Raye Levine, Kelsey Torstveit, Jon Kovach, and Sawyer Spielberg, EXTINCTION is about two college buddies whose annual outing of male-bonding and debauchery veers precipitously off course when unmet expectations spiral into a volatile showdown. A darkly funny drama exploring the evolution of friendships – and the lengths to which we go to save them from falling into extinction.

Raye Levine (Victoria) is a NY based actress and producer, William Esper Studio graduate and Ensemble Member of the Barefoot Theatre Company. She has performed in staged readings/productions of The Vote in Orange by Israel Horovitz, Parkslope, On the 5:31 directed by Jerry Ruiz, Restlessness of Desire by Kristina Poe directed by Shira-Lee Shalit, Pirate by Jennifer Skura, Finally by Israel Horovitz performed at the Calderwood Pavillion as part of the Boston Theatre Marathon, Man in Snow by Israel Horovitz directed by Frank Solorzano at The Actor’s Studio, A Baby’s Arm Holding an Apple by Mandi Riggi, Wetiko by Greg Paul (performed at The Actor’s Studio and moderated by Steven Adly Guirgis), Dog Day Afternoon directed by Francisco Solorzano (SVA Theatre), and Victory Girls by Kristina Poe, directed by Michael LoPorto. Raye holds a Bachelor of Architecture from The Cooper Union. She is a competitive-level figure skater and member of Ice Theatre of New York.
Kelsey Torstveit (Missy) hails from Phoenix, Arizona. She was a member of the 2014-2015 Acting Intern Company at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, where she starred in two of their Off The Hill productions: Theory of Mind and Birdbrain. During her time there, she also understudied seven main stage roles, including Lauren in Circle Mirror Transformation and Nina in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Other theatre credits include: A Christmas Carol (Cincinnati Playhouse), I Am A Camera (Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater), and Crimes of the Heart (Fable Theatre). She got her BFA from New York University (Lee Strasberg Institute).
Megan Minutillo (Director) is a NY based director, producer, writer, theater teacher, and the editor in chief of thewriteteachers.com. Megan just recently came back from Pioneer Theatre Company in Salt Lake City, where she was the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation Observer on “It Happened One Christmas.” Recent directing credits include: An Evening with Charlotte Jaconelli (54 Below), Another 100 Years (54 Below), Ladies of Eve(54 Below), DUETS with The Write Teacher(s) (54 Below), LOVE SONGS for VDAY (54 Below), Bluebirds (Guild Hall), Orphans (Guild Hall), and Crimes of the Heart (Guild Hall). As a producer, Megan has worked at venues and theatres across New York City and Long Island, such as at Bay Street Theater, 54 Below, Don’t Tell Mama, Laurie Beechman Theater, (le) poisson rouge, and The Cutting Room. Megan’s writing can be found on I AM THAT GIRL, HelloGiggles.com, and thewriteteachers.com, among others. Her first play, H.., was presented at the Manhattan Repertory Theater and then at The Identity Theatre Company, and is currently in development. Megan is a graduate of Binghamton University, where she did her undergraduate work in Political Science, Philosophy, and Law, and Theatre (with a concentration in Acting and Directing). Jon Kovach (Max) Since graduating from Miami University with a BA in theatre (’11), Jon founded Cincinnati’s Unity Productions, helped build Untethered Theatre Co. (’12-’13), became an Associate Artist at Know Theatre (’14-’15), and has worked with internationally recognized filmmakers (G. Clooney, A. Goddard), authors (N. Balthazar, R. Jones), and theaters (Playhouse in the Park, Bay Street, Human Race). Receiving awards and critical acclaim as an actor, musician, director, writer, and producer, Jon continues to expand on his career in the arts. JonKovach.com
Sawyer Spielberg (Finn) is a graduate of the Atlantic Theater Company. He has acted in various productions on both the West and East coasts. Sawyer played Peter Van Daan in Bay Street Theater’s 2013 production The Diary of Ann Frank, as well as Bay Street’s 2015 production Of Mice and Men as Whit, the young ranch hand. This will be Sawyer’s sixth project with Guild Hall of East Hampton. Some of the characters Sawyer has played on the Guild Hall stage include Eugene in a reading of Biloxi Blues, Treat in a reading of Orphans, and Guildenstern in a production of Hamlet in fall 2014.
