FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway Supper Club, presents John Owen-Jones (Phantom/Les Miserables) on September 6, 2017. No stranger to Broadway, John was the first British actor to perform the role of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables both on Broadway and the West End when he made his Broadway debut in 2007 at the Broadhurst Theatre. At the time, the New York Post said, “As Valjean…he is second only to the great Colm Wilkinson.”
He returned to Broadway in 2016 in the same role when the show played at the Imperial Theatre. Also in 2016 John performed in the New York Pops Gala Concert at Carnegie Hall, at Broadway in Bryant Park and at Stars in the Alley.
John Owen-Jones will perform well known songs from shows such as Les Miserables and Phantom of The Opera amongst others with enlightening chat and humour. John’s special guest will be Tony Award winning Broadway legend Donna McKechnie (A Chorus Line, Company). John’s Musical Director is a fellow Welshman and long time collaborator John Quirk.
