FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, presents Kelly Wright in his debut of “Love, Freedom & Peace.” on August 9, 2018 at 9:30pm. A nationally recognized TV News Personality and Recording Artist makes his solo debut in “Love, Freedom & Peace,” an entertaining and inspiring show featuring soulful resistance and peace songs from Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross plus his original songs.
Kelly’s amazing band is a who’s who of talented musicians who are known for their great work in music. Kelly’s musical director and co-songwriter, Jeff Franzel, has accompanied such artists as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Mel Torme, Deborah Cox and Lady Gaga. Jeff has written songs for Josh Groban, The Temptations, Shawn Colvin, Placido Domingo and NSYNC. Rounding out Kelly’s band will be Steve Williams, who has been playing drums for Sade, David Byrne, Ivan Neville and Keith Richards. Bass player Paul Frazier has been touring and recording with Shawn Colvin, David Byrne, Chic, St. Vincent and more. Askold Buk on guitar is known for scoring numerous songs for numerous television shows including 20/20 (ABC), The Young and The Restless (CBS), Frontline (PBS), The Hills (MTV), and played with B.B. King and Hugh Masakela.
