Reserved For Rondee celebrated the release of its debut album, Back In Velvet, with a sold out performance at New York’s legendary Bowery Ballroom. Following up the release of the album the band played a showcase during the 2013 CMJ New Music Seminar and then, while guitarist Billy Magnussen was in the UK filming alongside Johnny Depp and Meryl Streep in the much anticipated Disney motion picture adaptation of Steven Sondheim’s seminal musical “Into The Woods,” the band traveled to London for a brief tour during which the band recorded its single “Prescription” at SARM Studios. On its return to the US, the band staged its First Annual Holiday Benefit Show for Toys For Tots at New York’s Gramercy Theatre. Reserved For Rondee next was the subject of a Last.FM Originals Session filmed at Excello Recording in Brooklyn, where the band recorded Back In Velvet. Most recently the band supported multi-platinum recording artist Live’s US Tour kick-off at New York’s Gramercy Theatre, performed a 2014 CMJ Music Marathon showcase with Spires at the Bowery Ballroom, and embarked on its first West Coast trip to Los Angeles where they performed at the legendary Whisky A Go Go and Hotel Café.
About Reserved For Rondee
Reserved For Rondee began their musical journey together in November 2010. A melting pot of the NYC indy rock scene, Reserved For Rondee draws inspiration from classic artists like Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, U2 and contemporaries like the White Stripes, the Black Keys and Arcade Fire, blending imagination and style into a mystic rock journey. On the strength of their live performances and their debut EP RFR, released in February, 2012, the band launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds necessary for the recording of Back In Velvet. Receiving support from an international audience, the band quickly met and exceeded its targeted goal.
Recorded in Brooklyn, NY, Back In Velvet captures the vibrant sound of a band reflecting the energy that can only be found in New York, the greatest city in the world. For more information, visit www.reservedforrondee.com
