FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, presents Scott Moreau in Late and Alone: An Intimate Portrait of Johnny Cash on April 2nd, 2019 at 9:30 PM. Using anecdotes from Johnny’s autobiography, multiple interviews, live concerts and documentaries, Scott tells Johnny’s story with the artist’s own words and songs. Featuring more than 20 songs from Johnny’s 40+ years in the music business, Scott creates a stripped down look into the life of this American icon.
Scott has been performing as Johnny Cash for a decade. On the 1st National Tour of Million Dollar Quartet (understudying Johnny and Sam Phillips and later taking over the role of Cash for 2 years) he played Johnny’s music in more than 200 American cities, Tokyo, Osaka and Toronto. His original tribute show Walkin’ The Line has brought him to numerous theatres in the greater Phoenix valley, The M Casino in Las Vegas, Cortland Repertory Theatre in Upstate New York, The Imperial Bell in Quebec City and Celine Dion’s Le Mirage in Montreal. In 2013 Scott recorded a tribute album at Sun Studio in Memphis, TN (Home of the Blues: A Tribute To Johnny Cash at Sun Studio) in the very spot that Johnny stood. The album was mixed by multiple Grammy Award winning engineer Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell’s “Something More Than Free” and “Nashville Sound”) and mastered by Bruce Barielle (Django Unchained). It is available on Spotify, and for download on iTunes.
