Susan Edwards Martin, is the original “Lady Blues” in Harvey Fierstein’s Tony Award winning Broadway play, Torch Song Trilogy. She most recently performed her critically acclaimed cabaret show at Vitello’s in Los Angeles and starred as Minnie in the Musical Theatre Guild’s production of MINNIE’S BOYS. Ms. Edwards Martin is currently in production of her original musical, Unlimited! You’ll Have the Time of Her Life! with a virtual appearance by Harvey Fierstein!
Susan is accompanied by the outstanding award winning musician, John McDaniel on the ivories! McDaniel was the music director and/or arranger for Broadway’s Bonnie and Clyde, Catch Me If You Can, Brooklyn, Taboo, Annie Get Your Gun, Patti LuPone in Concert, Grease, and Company. He has frequently collaborated with Rosie O’Donnell, including as a producer and composer as well as her bandleader for her Emmy-winning talk show. In Los Angeles, John recently arranged & orchestrated the highest grossing show in the history of the Geffen Playhouse, LIGHTS OUT: NAT KING COLE. He also directed and conducted HAIR and INTO THE WOODS in concert at the historic Patchogue Theatre in New York.
