New Comedic Solo Show to Premiere at UNDER St. Marks for Limited Run

THE BUFFALO, written and performed by Anthony Sneed will premiere at UNDER St. Marks on January 30th. The production is directed by 2012 FringeNYC Solo Show Winner, Armando Merlo. THE BUFFALO was originally developed in Matt Hoverman’s Go-Solo Workshops.
Anthony is desperate to fit in. So he does what any 14 year old would do: he brings a gun to school! Sent to live in a Christian community, Anthony realizes that being understood here could mean joining a Christian cult!
All performances take place at UNDER St. Marks, 94 St. Marks Place, (Between First Avenue & Avenue A). Subways: F to 2nd Avenue, L to 1st Avenue, 6 to Astor Place.
Tickets are $5.00 and are available at the theatre 15 minutes before curtain.

Anthony Sneed (Actor/Playwright) is an actor/writer/producer who lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Born & raised in New Jersey, Anthony moved to New York in 2004 to pursue a career in entertainment. After working as a support tour manager with Muse, Against Me!, and 311 among others, Anthony landed the lead role of Batz in Frank Henenlotter’s 2008 film Bad Biology. Since then, Anthony has starred, produced & co-wrote an upcoming 16mm feature film with director Frank Henenlotter which takes place in the world of street art called Chasing Banksy. Anthony has studied at Atlantic Theater and has been working under the tutelage of famed acting teacher JoAnna Beckson. Currently, he is studying improvisation at the Upright Citizens Brigade & Magnet Theatre and recently performed at The Peoples Improv Theater SOLOCOM Festival. www.anthonysneed.com
Armando Merlo (Director) is a playwright, actor & director from Saddle Brook, New Jersey. His writing debut, Salamander Starts Over, a one-man play, which he also acted in, was the winner of the FringeNYC Solo Show Excellence Award in 2012. The play received rave reviews from The New York Times, TimeOut NY and Huffington Post. He recently directed the solo shows BABA at the United Solo Theatre Festival and The Adventures of Swamp Girl at FringeNYC 2014. As an actor, he appeared opposite comedy legend Jerry Stiller in the short film Simpler Times, which is an official selection in numerous festivals around the country, including the New York, Los Angeles and Hawaii International Film Festivals. Armando lives and works in New York City with his French Bulldog, Hippo. He is a graduate of Penn State University.
