Three high school girls from a tough neighborhood in Queens are determined to make it to the top. With a little grit and a lot of talent, the teens become overnight sensations – and discover that they want very different things from life. Smart and sassy, THE QUEENS BEES overflows with hit songs of the sixties including “Leader of the Pack” and “Twist and Shout.”
“THE QUEENS BEES is a realistic portrait of three girls coming of age in the sixties and it also gives the audience a chance to experience the joy of popular music. The cast is just sensational, and I can’t wait for it to open.” said Taryn Sacramone, Managing Director of Queens Theatre.
The production stars Nicole Colón* (Nat’l Tour: Legally Blonde: The Musical, Fiddler on the Roof) as Brenda, and Mary Beth Donahoe as Diane, and Bailey Frankenberg (QT’s The Cottage) as Connie.
