On November 7, 2018, twelve people lost their lives in the Borderline Shooting in Thousand Oaks, California. Less than 24 hours later, wildfires swept the city.
Some of Broadway’s greatest talents call Thousand Oaks home, and now they will come together for one night only to sing songs of hope and inspiration and raise money to help those affected by these tragedies.
Proceeds will go to the Westlake Rotary Club Fund For Victims Of The Borderline Shooting.
Casting will be announced at a later date.
THOUSAND OAKS STRONG: A BENEFIT FOR THE VICTIMS OF THE BORDERLINE SHOOTING & CALIFORNIA WILDFIRES will be directed and produced by Robert W. Schneider.
Schneider said, “Thousand Oaks is not only my home but home to many of Broadway’s great artists. Its resident theatres have played host to some of New York’s strongest performers. We are all devastated by the senseless shooting and devastating fires. But, as the Broadway community has done countless times in our past, we are mobilizing and coming together to help bring financial assistance to those who have been affected by these tragic events.”
Tickets, starting at $30, are still available. In addition to the ticket price, there is a food and beverage minimum of $20.00.
