Hello Beautiful People,
The Cripple of Inishmaan, by Martin McDonagh, is making it’s transfer from the West End to the Cort Theatre on Broadway!
Set on the remote island of Inishmaan off the west coast of Ireland, word arrives that a Hollywood film is being made on the neighboring island of Inishmore. The one person who wants to be in the film more than anybody is young Cripple Billy (Radcliffe), if only to break away from the bitter tedium of his daily life. McDonagh’s comic masterpiece examines an ordinary coming-of-age in extraordinary circumstances and confirms his position as one of the most original Irish voices to emerge in the second half of the twentieth century.
Now, we’re pleased to say that one lucky winner will recieve TWO tickets to see this show, which is sure to be a brilliant evening of theater. Please note that should you win, you will get to see a performance of your choosing from Tues-Thurs performances only; additional blackouts may apply.
SO, how DO you win?
Well, at the heart of this story is Cripple Billy. A young man who goes after his dreams, no matter what those around him think. He reaches for stars, and yes, we find that truly inspiring.
So, what Broadway star inspires you and why? Let us know in the comments section below, and we’ll announce one lucky winner by Saturday at noon!

Live, Love, Learn,
I find Judith Light very inspiring, because she not only chooses great projects and gives amazing Tony-winning performances (and looks amazing at her age!), but also gets very involved in charity work especially good causes like Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. And she’s super-kind to her peers and to fans!
Sarah! Congrats on winning a pair of tickets to see The Cripple of Inishmaan on Broadway! Please EMAIL your contact info to info@thewriteteachers.com, so The Write Teacher(s) Team can set you up with voucher! #LiveLoveLearn
Right now after seeing the brilliant production of Twelfth Night on Broadway, I am once again inspired by Mark Rylance’s work ( I saw him in Jerusalem). He brings Viola to a whole other level that I have never seen in that character. His performance is so richly nuanced- you just fall in love with her (him). As a drama teacher it made me want to go back and work with my kids on Shakespeare right away!
Sutton Foster inspires me with her ability to sing, dance and act. It takes a lot of stamina to get through those musical numbers. She also has a lovely voice.
