Hello, readers and music fans!
Happy (almost) summer! Here is a fresh batch of tunes to power your June.
- Led Zeppelin, “Misty Mountain Hop”
- Old Crow Medicine Show, “Big Time in the Jungle”
- The National, “Demons”
- Phoenix, “1901”
- The Black Keys, “Fever”
- Charlie Parr, “Cheap Wine”
- The Tallest Man on Earth, “The Wild Hunt”
- John Denver, “Take Me Home, Country Roads”
I also have a bit of news to share with you all. At the end of April I accepted a year-long missionary position at a pastoral center in West Virginia. Starting in early June I’ll be serving the youth of the Wheeling-Charleston diocese through retreats, camps, rallies, campus ministry programs, and more. It’s a huge step forward for me, as it allows me the chance to “test the waters” to see if ministry is where I want to be, and I could not be more excited. However, it means you’ll be seeing less of me here at The Write Teacher(s), since my busy schedule won’t permit me to post as often. I’ll still be sharing playlists each month, though, and I hope to share other findings whenever possible.
Cheers to new chapters and new beginnings!
