FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, presents Kidz Theater’s 10th Anniversary Concert on Sunday, June 4th, hosted by Andrew Briedis (aka Annoying Actor Friend) Join us for a KT retrospective celebrating ten years of consistently top-quality musical theater education in New York City. Kidz Theater began its journey of excellence in 2007 when Founder and Artistic Director, Kristen Caesar, mounted the company’s first production, Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. In the years since, hundreds of students have passed through Kidz Theater’s doors, heading to top BFA programs throughout the country, numerous national tours, and Broadway.
Kristen Caesar directs the 10th Anniversary concert featuring songs from previous Kidz Theater shows sung by 45 esteemed current students and alumni, including Rodney Ingram (Raoul in “Phantom of the Opera” on Broadway), Jenny Mollet (“The Color Purple” on Broadway), Mehret Marsh(Young Nala in “The Lion King” on Broadway), Luka Cain (“South Pacific” on Broadway), Mavis Simpson Ernst (“Evita” on Broadway, “Les Miz” nat’l tour), Isabel Wallach (“Annie” nat’l tour), Caitlin Kops (How the Grinch Stole Christmas” nat’l tour), Micaela Diamond (2017 National YoungArts Foundation Finalist), and many more.
Michael Liepper is the musical director and will accompany singers on the piano. Kidz Theater’s 10thAnniversary Concert plays Feinstein’s/54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on Sunday, June 4th at 9:30pm. There is a $35.00 cover charge and $25.00 food and beverage minimum.
