Less than one week left to submit your full-length play, musical, adaptation, or one-woman show to the 2017 NYC Women’s Work Festival. After you wake up from your Halloween partying, send us your script and application by the end of the day on Nov. 1st (at 11:59pm) at webroadway.org!
What’s in it for me?
As a participant in the NYC Women’s Work Festival, you’ll get:
– A theater rental for at least 2 performances, with the option to add additional performances should your show sell out.
– A producing mentor to help make sure your show gets up on its feet. She’ll be there every step of the way to help out with whatever you may need, whether it be casting, gathering costumes, fundraising, or just offering a creative and experienced opinion.
– Set pieces to use, a lighting designer to program your show and run your light/sound board, and a kickass production manager to manage your tech.
– A directory of women designers, directors, producers, musical directors, and more — any of whom you can contact to fill roles on your production team.
– Front of house and box office staff, and we take care of your ticketing and program printing.
– A group casting session that we set up for all of the shows.
– Marketing & advertising via the Women’s Work Fest.
– Closing night party and awards ceremony, judged by a panel of top industry professionals.
– Opportunities to participate in our future programs, including readings and concerts.
– Becoming a part of a WEB of theater professionals who are devoted to supporting the work of women writers!
