Hello Beautiful People,
I’m pleased to bring a fabulous resource for all you NYC actors…BACKSTAGE PASS.
BACKSTAGE PASS is a six-week workshop (starting May 7th) led by Dustin Flores (senior talent agent at The Mine) and Anna Ty Bergman (actor, lyricist, coach).
Over this course, twelve actors will be offered a safe environment to sing from their books and receive honest feedback on what they are bringing to the table and how to take that to the next level. They will learn about finding an agent and how to maintain a good relationship with that agent. They will explore how to be tactfully tenacious in their careers, while maintaining balance in their minds and lives. Ultimately, the workshop will provide the actors guidance in auditioning, career trajectory, facing fear and finding confidence, and maintaining a healthy/happy state of mind as it relates to career, personal/daily life, and the interconnectedness of the two.
The class will meet once a week, for six weeks. Weeks four and five will feature two prominent casting directors as guests. Casting directors will do a brief Q&A and provide individual feedback on actors’ work.
For more information and/or consideration, please e-mail your headshot/resume and any questions to BACKSTAGEPASSNYC@gmail.com.
[custom_blockquote style=”purple”] A FEW TESTIMONIALS FROM ACTORS/CLIENTS:
“I think it’s very important in this business to be open and receptive to every opportunity. A year ago I was working as a bartender in Washington Heights, and Anna came in for a drink. We had a conversation which led to her introducing me to Dustin. I signed with him and 5 months later I made my Broadway debut in Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark.” -KEVIN JONES
“After my first year studying acting at UCLA, Anna and I worked together as Rizzo and Sandy in a production of Grease.. She became a mentor to me at the time, as I was first getting started in this business, and I’m so happy it was so. Those early years are an important time that lay the groundwork for any actor’s future, and having good people on your team (at all times) is absolutely invaluable!” -BETH BEHRS (2 Broke Girls)
“I really can’t say enough about Dustin. Working with him one on one, I always got his 100% undivided attention, complete support, honesty and encouragement. I was not only more connected to my material, but my work felt polished and ready to go. Knowing the business as well as he does as an agent, and having a solid acting foundation and personal experience as a performer makes him the most rare and qualified coach one could find. “-ANITA VASAN.
