The Bookstore Pledge: The Drama Book Shop

Hello Beautiful People,

As many of you know, at the start of the school year I implemented something we call The Boookstore Pledge. Just a promise to the independent booksellers of the world that no matter how much we love Barnes & Noble, we’ll still make the effort to come to your stores. Each month, we’ve highlighted a different bookstore. This month, we’re featuring The Drama Book Shop in New York City.

The Drama Book Shop, is especially near and dear to our hearts, because of what it sells – books relating to all things film and theatre, and it’s like the mecca for plays. And, what’s even MORE exciting, is that THERE IS A THEATER DOWNSTAIRS, where they have a variety of authors come and speak to a small crowd. Just last week, Deidra and I got to attend an event there, where Annie Baker talked about her new show, THE FLICK, which is currently playing at Playwrights Horizons. It. Was. Awesome.

Lets review.

The Drama Book Shop is a bookstore that showcases plays, books about theater, AND there is a performance space. It’s like everything we love, in one store.
