Hello everyone!
Happy June, and happy unofficial start of summer! If you’re like me, summer conjures up images of road trips: open roads, fresh air, rolled-down windows, and of course, great music for the journey. So this month, I changed up my usual playlist routine and gave you some driving tunes to power your summer road trip. I got my Facebook friends in on this playlist, too, so thanks to my peeps who contributed: Brian, Katie, Nadia, Dayna, Sarah M., Sarah R., Jordan, and Olivia. Y’all rock. Some of the songs are relatively new. Some are classics. Some have titles related to travel. Some don’t. All are good.
Enjoy!
1) Willie Nelson, “On the Road Again” (obviously)
2) Mumford & Sons, “Hopeless Wanderer”
3) The Apache Relay, “American Nomad” (played on a golf cart at Bonnaroo for your viewing pleasure)
4) The Strokes, “The Modern Age”
5) U2, “Where the Streets Have No Name”
6) Bob Dylan, “Blowin’ in the Wind”
7) The Black Crowes, “Wiser Time”
8) Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, “Runnin’ Down a Dream”
9) Bombay Bicycle Club, “Ivy & Gold”
10) The Naked and Famous, “Young Bloods”
