Tony Award Nominee Adrienne Warren (Shuffle Along) joins the cast of DUETS with thewriteteachers.com: LGBTQ+ Edition, at Birdland Jazz on August 8th. 
DUETS with thewriteteachers.com: LGBTQ+ Edition is proudly presented by the Broadway at Birdland concert series. This one-night-only event will benefit the One Orlando Fund.
The evening will pair Broadway hopefuls with the Broadway professionals that have inspired them to join and/or stay in the crazy life of show business. The show will consist of songs from across the musical theatre canon that speak to the LBGTQ+ experience. Think Bare. Think RENT. Think A New Brain. Think of some gender swapped famous duets, too!
A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the One Orlando Fund. In such times of tragedy and heartbreak, we must stand together. We must support one another. We must love one another.
As Lin-Manuel Miranda says, “love is love is love is love.”
Ms. Warren will join a cast that features Loni Ackerman (Cats, Evita), Maddie Shea Baldwin (Bright Star), Max Crumm, Christopher Hlinka (Mamma Mia Nat’l Tour), Preston Truman Boyd (She Loves Me, On The Twentieth Century, Bullets Over Broadway, Big Fish), Jesse James Keitel, Hannah Kloepfer, Andrew Kober (She Loves Me, Les Miserables, HAIR), Meredith Lesley, Angelo McDonough, Molly Model, Peter Romagna, T.J. Newton, Kyle Scatliffe (The Color Purple, Les Miserables), Ariana Sepúlveda, Stephanie Turci, and Mathieu Whitman, with additional performers to be announced!
The evening is directed and produced by Megan Minutillo, in association with thewriteteachers.com. Music direction by Nat Zegree.
