Hello Beautiful People,
What do you when your favorite television shows are on hiatus for the season?
Well, you find a new one to watch in the meantime, of course.
So, to fill the void of The Affair and Homeland, I started watching Sons of Anarchy. Totally not something I ever expected to watch. Or like. At all.
I’m not one for violence.
I’m not one for drugs.
I’m not one for gore.
And in all the press and commercials for the show, it seemed just that. Violence. Drugs. Gore. Killing. More drugs. More violence. More bloodshed.
And I ask you – haven’t we had enough bloodshed?
So, I must say, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by this show thus far.
Yes, there is violence. And drugs. And killing.
Do I wish there was less of that? Absolutely.
But there’s something about this crazy tribe of folk that I find appealing. The love that they have for one another. The respect and honor that they have for brotherhood. For their families. For their children. The undying affection that Jax has for Tara, and vice versa. The way that, despite the mayhem and madness, all they seem to want is the simple pleasures in life.
Loyalty is an underrated value on our television screens as of late. Sons of Anarchy, despite the guns and drugs, manages to bring back brotherhood.
It’s definitely not HOMELAND or The Affair, but I would recommend it if you haven’t seen it yet.
